The future of our sport lies in the encouragement of our youth, (young boys and girls) who have a dream. They want a horse and yep, they all want to be cowboys and cowgirls. When they come to us, what they really love is the idea of working their horses on cows.

We encourage all types of Western Horse sports, from cutting and reining to team penning, ranch riding and working obstacles. It's all part of the fun and part of the learning.

 

Some of our youths go on to compete, and if they do, we give them a strong foundation and the knowledge and drive to do it. Others just like to be casual and just enjoy riding and being with their horses in a safe and friendly environment. 
 

Five youngsters who never gave up on their dream have carried out vocational training at MFC Performance Horses. Learning to train their own horses up to competition standard, helping to start the young horses from our breeding program as well as learning how to work as a team, look after each other and show respect and courtesy for others.
